Why healing is important.










Healing from any form of trauma is not easy and does take time. Healing will not always be easy because sometimes we can't let go or we too scared to confront those emotions and sometimes we don't see how us not healing affects the people around us, it does great damage. The saying hurt people hurt people is real that's why healing is beneficial to your personal growth in life as well as the people around you. You are in a constant inner battle with yourself and this holds you back from achieving greatness.



HOW DOES ONE HEAL?


There are many ways in which you can confront and break down your trauma. My number one go to is shadow work. Shadow work deals with your inner demons and confronts all those feelings such as bursts of anger, sadness, anxiety and depressive episodes. Shadow work helps you look at yourself from within at a higher perspective...What does that mean? I'll break it down, It targets all your triggers so that you can recognize what sets you off, what makes you sad and what is your defense mechanism as well as your coping mechanism. It also helps with understanding why you have suppressed emotions and helps unbottle all frustrations. Having a journal is important as it helps with keeping progress of your shadow work and it's a friend that is completely loyal and will listen. There are multiple journal prompts one can find online or on Pinterest. Prompts are questions that help you during shadow work so that you can self assess and then analyze without your ego from a higher perspective. If you constantly feel at battle with yourself or that something is always holding you back or if you feel like you not moving forward i suggest that you start today and make that change so you can go forward and be free and to face your demons.
